Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

I’ve had the cluster out, it’s not a loose connection, I also sent it for repair but was told they couldn’t replicate the problem, probably because their shop was warm even though I explained the problem.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi, looking for some advice - I have a 2005 C2 997, had it for 9 months, it’s in great condition and I’ve been sorting a few things, one of the issues is the instrument cluster. When it’s cold, the outer gauges and LCDs flicker until the interior of the car warms up, then it’s as per normal. I am convinced it’s a temperature related issue with a component in the cluster. I’ve had the cluster out, it’s not a loose connection, I also sent it for repair but was told they couldn’t replicate the problem, probably because their shop was warm even though I explained the problem. Before I try a replacement part and £££, just wondering is anyone else has experienced this? It’s not the battery or fuses either!
