This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

John, have a look in Porker and 911 World, there's a couple of places that advertise ('Type 911' is one off the top of my head) that sort of thing in there. I'd have budgeted more like £100. I'm asuming they're dead easy to fit.

POST 2Original post

www.techart.de www.gemballa.com might be a good place to get some ideas.

POST 3Original post

Be carefull of some of the aluminium look parts that are sold. All these guys do are spraying the normal black ones then charge us lots of cash!!!!If you know a good sprayer remove them your self and ask him to do it,you could even buy silver spray airosol can and do it in your garage. Save yourself a fortune and not get ripped off!!! Hope that gives you good advise!

POST 4Original post

Also www.design911.co.uk - have all accessories available if you can fit yourself. Delivery is next day. Sam.

POST 5Original post

we could design and manufacture parts for you if there was enough interest. Clive Reed Zertec ltd.

POST 6Original post

IIRC the Aluminium gearknob and handbrake are about £300 on a new car (check the Porsche website). Do you think that they wanted £400 to fit them?

POST 7Original post

"Obviously it's an engine-out job sir, then there's the sundries, parts and labour on top. 700 pounds all in." "Bolx, I'm off to Halfords."

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am a bit bored with the interior of the car and wanted to get some aluminium parts fitted, handbrake, gearknob etc. I asked at the OPC here in glasgow and was told it may be about £700 for the brake and knob!! Does anyone know if these type of parts are available aftermarket, and, vitally are they easy to fit yourself without destroying the car? Thanks guys
