I just received something in the mail yesterday that I got around to opening today. It is another marketing item for the new 911, man Porsche must really want me to buy a 911.
It says the new 911, Badge welds to car, car welds t odriver, driver welds to road. Its connection to the road is surpassed only by one thing. Its connection to you.
It includes a very heavy weight piece of metal with a mini-badge on it, my name and a Badge No. A Very nice piece, must be expensive! I'll get a pic and post it... anyone else get this?
Here's the picture:
I think Porsche is afraid of a downturn in the US economy and is trying to figure out ways to keep the "Porsche Faithful" buying.
All I got was a notebook with the sketches of all 4 models. I must not be very special.
I got this too along with private pre-invitation to learn more about Panorama.....or however that thing is spelled.
That badge looks very nice, all I got was a hard cover book/brochure with a DVD on the new 911.
They sent me a connect the dots picture of a Trabant - it was the 'S' version though. Had to provide my own pencil.
Ditto for me. Just the book and DVD.
My wife and I were just joking that it seems like lately we get a really nice marketing mailer from PCNA once a week!
They certainly don't cut corners in marketing.
I received the hard bound book about the 911. And I received the sketch book inviting me to fill out a couple cards or sign-up on the web for private info on the Panamera.
I suspect that will someday lead to a test drive, as I previously had received a special invitation to drive the Cayenne when they debuted.
I just got a letter asking me not to buy another one of their road cars if I intend to use it on the track like my current car.
I didn't/don't receive anything! I even special ordered my car new!
Correction. I got the Panamera sketchbook/notepad today to go along with the 911 book/DVD. Tomorrow I expect the badge, and the next day an offer for Porsche employee pricing or 0% financing
