I have been toying w/ getting a base Carrera/PDK to replace my 06 CS, but when I drove it the engine was essentially silent, a deal breaker for me.

Been waiting for the 997Mk2 sports exhaust for ages. It will cost around £1700 to get it retrofited. Saw the official picture---I was really disappointed with those tailpipes! How about you guys! Those from the car configurator looks so much better!

Yeah, the pipe within a pipe look is gratuitously ugly. One can only ask, why spend so much effort to end up with such a bad result? I suppose Porsche figures it's distinctive to be instantly recognized but unfortunately in a bad way. I also agree that the configurator dual large pipe looked real good.
