Check the plug is seated properly, had an issue on my Boxster where the window wouldn't stay down and it was a fault of the plug not being seated properly.

You mean replacing the Lock Assembly which also includes the door latching mechanism and the micro switch that detects and tells the computer which position the door latch is in?

Passenger side window would not stay in its few millimeter down postion when door open. I know the issue is in the door lock actuator and not the door handle. Ordered replacement door lock actuator. Just arrived. Now it is working normally more often then not. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and possible fix by cleaning/adjusting switch so I can send back the part back unoponed.

Just went through this recently with my'99. Driver's window would drop with either inside or outside door handle, but would go back up when released. According to my research, the microswitch on the driver's door latch was inop. Replaced the latch assembly and now the window works as normal. Hope that helps!

The Porsche parts department called it the door latch assembly. Part# 9A7-837-015-03. I saw a write up about buying a just a VW door microswitch and swapping it out, but I went with the Porsche OEM part.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
