While disassembling my 996 turn signal stalk assembly, a small clear plastic cap fell out. It's approximately 1/3 " square and appears to be a cap or a cup somewhere in the assembly. It looks like it would be the end for a stalk. I'm using 928srus turn signal stalk repair kit. It's simple and straightforward to install, my turn signal indicator fails to cancel, it's a problem common to 996s as I understand. I can't reference this part in any assembly diagram or parts list. I want to ensure it's assembled properly prior to installing it back into my car. I'm trying to add pics to this post but have been struggling to do so, I will add them when possible. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Check out my photos in this thread: Thread 'Indicator stalk fault & fix' 2 May 2021 A few weeks ago my indicator stalk went faulty (see below video). I was able to enable the indicator in one direction only when the wheel was straight and this varied between left and right. So this week I reluctantly had a go at tackling it and fortunately after several attempts now have my car back to normal. Repairing the stalk unit meant disassembling the unit which in itself opened up another can of worms. Video showing the fault: First job was to strip the steering wheel/column down and remove the whole 4 stalk assembly from the car. Massive thanks to...
