i dont mind replacing the barrel if thats an option but i really dont want the car to have 2 different keys to open and start it

ive managed to sort a few of the issues i had which all basically boiled down to the fact the battery was flat as a fart so ive just put in the 4th Bosch battery its had in 3 years and 931 miles !!
the main thing thats bugging me through is that the window wipers and wash work fine when the ignition is turned to point 2 but as soon as the cars started the wipers/wash dont work at all, bizarre, i dont thing its the ignition switch even though i bought one and a local auto electrician wanted £400 to fit it, needless to say i said go ***** yourself you piss taking *****. however im not sure if its related but when ever i manage to get the key in the ignition (its a bit of a wrestle) it feels like its never gonna come out again

yes they just stay off buddy until i turn the car off again
im thinking it must be the ignition barrel as getting the key in and out of it is getting harder and harder

ill be chipping it in next year sometime for a 991 or i may just keep it and see if they creep up a bit in a few years
you dont think the ignition switch i bought would make any difference would it?
the issue feels more mechanical than electrical if that makes sense
ill try blasting a little wd40 into the lock to see if that helps loosen anything up at all
im more than likley gonna have a trip down to Kent next week to see this one

i did mate but i was gonna throw 25k cash on it and finance the rest but the finance was mental
monthlys were fine but after 3 years id of given them 13k more, ***** hate finance companies so i said im gonna wait until ive got the cash spare and buy one outright. its not stopped them calling me 3 times a day though to tell me im missing out in a deal. i basically told em to ***** off as the car id be looking at are essentially ten a penny.
