Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it normal to need to finesse top gear exhausts? I went to fit mine today and the wider of the two brackets doesn’t fit the crush tube. Slightly nervous about tweaking it in case it voids the warranty.

POST 2Original post

Probably just open them a bit, could also be the oe match crap parts though. I cut my own from some 10mm -1mm tube from ebay 304 Grade Tube Stainless Steel 8mm to 153mm all sizes repair pipe tubing | eBay UK Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for 304 Grade Tube Stainless Steel 8mm to 153mm all sizes repair pipe tubing at the best online prices at eBay UK! POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good point, I’ll measure the original crush tubes and see how they compare. Design911 crush tube is 5mm longer than the space on the bracket

POST 4Original post

Top Gear stuff is normally sport on, so definitely compare the tubes for length.
