Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

$15k bo Early 99, comes with a pair of grey sport seats that need to be redone, has Litronics with amber tails but have amber headlamps. High mileage 145k or so. Probably needs a transmission soon as the bearings are loud. Trying to get into a 997 so its a fire sale.

POST 3Original post

That is a very offputting surprised face and I regret posting that now

POST 6Original post

Are the sport seats installed in the car or included as an add on? If theyre an add on, would you sell them separately?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Car has stock seats installed and no I won't sell them separately, if the car doesn't sell I will get them recovered

POST 9Original post

Garrett, I'm going to be in Franklin at the in-laws' on Saturday. I'd like to take a look if you are available. Thanks. 4Driver4 AT Gmail DOT com

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry I stopped by the local **** shop.

POST 11Original post

Good luck with sale. Garrett is a standup guy. Buy with confidence

POST 12Original post

Pretty car. I dunno...outside of mileage, according to the BaT P fanatics, the early 99's are the next "low mileage 993 Turbo S". I'm being a bit sarcastic but the early '99 trend on BaT is something to witness. Throw her on BaT!

POST 13Original post

Im sure the new buyer wont want to deal with those seats. In fact, it could make the sale easier if I take them off your hands nice techart body kit

Really like this photo 😎 glws.

POST 15Original post

That's only the third car I have seen with the Tech-Art side skirts and front bumper. Mine also has them.

POST 16Original post

Garrett how fresh is the engine? Im hunting for one. Anyway my car also has the tech art front bumper, no side skirts. There are two 997 S for sale in Facebook. One is the triple black launch edition with the pccb. Anyway these are priced at around $44k.

POST 17Original post

techart body kit? Nice.

Not looking to hijack but 997 S for $44k? Please post link(s).

POST 19Original post

Quotes source post: 17892587

this one 05 launch edition with pccb. $45, sometimes even better pricing.

POST 20Original post

Nope - FS threads in the Marketplace only, no?

POST 21Original post

Pardon my ignorance, but why is 145k mi. considered high mileage for a 22 year old car? Do the math thats an average of less than 7k/yr. High milage? Uh, I dont think so

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 17887895

Then he can list in the Marketplace, as is required. Or, in the Members FS/FT area.

I agree to me mileage like this means its been used regularly and maintained! Thats a good thing for a buyer who wants to drive

It's gonna be ok ☺️

POST 25Original post

Anybody heard from Garrett? I'm interested in the car, and I posted both in this thread and I sent a PM. He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. Cold feet on the sale? Other priorities? Is he OK?

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 17915008

Probably counting his daily appreciation value offline. Always seemed like a wishy washy for sale ad to me. I wouldn't be surprised if he just stopped responding to inquires cause he doesn't want to sell. Also if he is from Mass probably under about a foot of snow at this point. He last logged in today it appears so it appears he is fine.

Nice to hear that he seems to be drawing breath - lol I'm in CT, and I can attest to snow being present but not debilitating. As for the definitive nature of the offer for sale, I figured "Buy my 996" as a title for the thread seemed pretty solid. Naive?
