My favourite aftermarket wheels for the 996 are the spoked Oz Alleggerita. I have the original factory fit turbo wheels on mine (996.2 C2)

I second the RUF wheels, although a very expensive option. I always loved the original fuchs, but the positive offset required to work on a 996 makes the ends of the spokes look little weird to my eyes. Aftermarket fuchs with a larger inner spoke look good on the right colour car. Can't go wrong with BBS LMs, but again, an expensive choice. HRE do a nice wheel similar to the RUF, the 527S, but monster money.

My favorite wheels, without going silly and getting e88's, are the Oz Allegertias. They are super lightweight, nice and simple and have a bit of shape to them I.e. not too flat. 20250413_183705 by Scott Osborne , on Flickr I do keep getting tempted by change but without spending 4k I cant really think of anything else id want to run!
