Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I have read a lot of forums and many Porsche owners want to paint the faceplates around the PCM! Does anyone have instructions how to remove these faceplates? I would really appreciate this! regards //Joacim

POST 2Original post

See the Articles section for removing the radio, etc. Once that it out it is pretty obvious how to get the faceplate off.

POST 3Original post

Thanks have you done this? Pictures? What does it look like behind the faceplate, a lot of electrics that could be broken? Joacim

POST 4Original post

No the faceplace just unclips from the radio and I think there were 1 or 2 small screws, nothing to muck up, same is true for other sections of the center stack, it isn't very hard to take apart.

POST 6Original post

For changing the faceplate or painting it? No, not sure why you think there would be.

POST 7Original post

This is how far I came (bild), how do I remove the bottom part of the metal case??? The other two pics is where I have the problem.....I have no idea how to remove the lower case!! Anyone?? //Joacim

POST 8Original post

I thought you just pulled down on that tab/clip in the 3rd picture in between the 2 arrows and that allow the plastic to pop off? You might want to call Eric at BumperPlugs.com and see if he can walk you through the rest of the operation.

POST 9Original post

No, I have to remove the lower metal sheet/case also cause there are a few screws I cannot reach without remove this case!! //Joacim

POST 10Original post

Well please take lots of pictures and do a step by step write up of how to do this and it will make a great article for our Articles section!

You've also learned where to come for help and where not to! It would have been bad form of me to publicly refer you to another forum, but I was not surprised that as of yet none of the experts on that site could be bothered to reply to you. Glad you found Planet-9.
