Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

for some bizarre reason the 2 little poncy windows on mine just wont go up the front 2 are fine checked the fuse all fine i can hear a clicking from the windows when i push the switch but nothing im sure they worked last time i had the roof down but since i put the hardtop back on this morning, nothing anybody have any pointers/advice (apart from ***** the thing off and go buy an M5) wipers are all working fine now too,i didnt do anything to them either

POST 2Original post

Hi mate don’t you dare swap out your car for an M5 If you were to take the roof back off and then check if the windows work if they do then it’s then down to the installation of the roof that’s the problem.

POST 3Original post

I'm sure Alex will be along shortly to tell you what's up!

POST 4Original post

You've not fit your hardtop properly at the front and the centre locking arm that goes in above the windscreen is not pressing the microswitch flap that tells the car the roof is up. Undo the handle in the centre and try reclamping the hardtop down.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
