My car had a few squeaks when I got it, replaced the coffin boxes, and stripped cleaned and regressed the top mounts, that sorted most of the noise.

Suggestion · Original poster

The front suspension is making an awful noise when driving very slow or pushing down on the wing, think I've located this to the bottom ball joint (common) has anyone tried to lubricate (spray grease) this issue or just replaced the arm itself?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Guys, The front suspension is making an awful noise when driving very slow or pushing down on the wing, think I've located this to the bottom ball joint (common) has anyone tried to lubricate (spray grease) this issue or just replaced the arm itself? Many thanks Craige

POST 2Original post

My car had a few squeaks when I got it, replaced the coffin boxes, and stripped cleaned and regressed the top mounts, that sorted most of the noise. Did the anti roll bushes just to be on the safe side as they were looking rather ragged. That sorted things for me. Have fun tracking the squeaks down, and once things have been changed get the geometry adjusted as new components will change things, made all the difference to the car after a visit to Centre Gravity.
