It had a lot of work done in Oct 2015, some of this was to replace the Bank 1 Variocam unit, which included various seals and a new spark plug tube kit.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Everyone, I found a small drop of oil on my garage floor today. After looking under the car i've noticed a couple of spots on the right hand side where the oil has spread. After doing a bit of searching online I think I've identified the problem as the Spark Plug tubes leaking. Does this sound correct? Or could it be something else? Incase it helps find a diagnosis... I had a look back through the paper work the car came with. It had a lot of work done in Oct 2015, some of this was to replace the Bank 1 Variocam unit, which included various seals and a new spark plug tube kit.

POST 2Original post

i had a slight leak from the small plug as in your pic. They can be changed but I would wait till the next oil change. The plugs are very thin I drilled a 2 mm hole in mine and put a 25 mm screw in it to leaver it out with. Throughly clean the sides of the hole cover both sides of hole and sides of new plug with locative red and tap in square to a depth as before
