Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all, visiting here from the 991 forum, but my question isnt really about my Porsche. I have a BMW E46 330i ZHP. I also have a 991.2 Carrera T with AP Racing calipers and rotors. My stock 911 991.2 (base) brakes are sitting in a box. Swapping 996 calipers on to BMW E46s is a popular upgrade, thanks to some aftermarket brakes adapters. I think 996 and 997 calipers are interchangeable, but what about 991s? So many parts are swappable between 911 generations and figure you all might know. Has anyone put 991 brakes on a 996 without having to modify the caliper or bracket? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

Unfortunately no. They r not even close. I do have a set, front and rear, from a 996 if u need some.
