Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Few are the times I have seen any aftermarket shifting choices for
PDK
owners. I saw these on Instagram and thought I would link him over for you guys because they look pretty sharp. I’d be tempted, but I am committed to keeping the
Spyder
bone stock and as an old guy the money is better spent on maintenance but anyhow here they are.

Lots of people are installing the oem

Sport Shift knobs... Have seen it available for Tiptronic and the 991s with the opposite shift direction.
Saw it here
I saw just this, very nice. I was going to try the
GT4
style but I like being able to get this custom to match a potential wheel stitching. Red, I guess but I’m really thinking of going a different direction. I wonder how a nice blue stitching would look.
either way, seems like I’m planning on spending way too much on the interior of a car
but, well it’s the most boring part. I already like the rest of it for the most part.
Hello AztroRover
My name is Frederic and I am located in Normandy in France, so I am french
I have a
997.1
C4S Tiptronic car and I love it with its terracotta and carbon interior.
I would like to perform the same change on my car but I didn't find any additional information through the rennenpro web site.
Did you take pictures during the installation in your car in order me to understand the different step I have to follow ?
Then, if this is easy to perform, I will buy the conversion kit.
Thanks in advance for your reply and sorry if my english written is not very good
Have a nice day
Frederic
Hi Fredric, the conversion is very basic as it does not require modifications to the car just replace the parts. The modification is on the shifter handle part as we have a thicker shaft, as all 987/997 owners do 😉, the kit comes with everything, you will need a drimmel tool also it helps get the shifter brace perfect. Just gather the parts. I am a school teacher and was able to do it in a few hours. If you have not done any type of modifications it might be hard. Best part is it's entirely reversible it does not require anything permanent in the process. I would never go back to original, but I could easily. I love the mod everyday have had zero issues. I got the new shift boot from ebay a german leather maker. But since yours is a special color, you might need to go to the dealer for the perfect color match.
Hi again
Thank you so much for your quick reply
If my understanding is correct, there is not shift knob and trim and I need to purchase them separately but do they can suggest which (and where) of them I have to purchase for my car to help me ? I have Terracotta and carbon interior (see attachment) but I suppose the best will be to purchase an
alcantara
trim if Terracotta trim does not exist (I have some
alcantara
on the roof liner)
Last question : how much does both shift knob and trim cost ? (approximately)
Thanks again in advance for your help
The cost of the shifter is set by
porsche
. The trim can be obtained more easily. You will be buying a 997 manual surround there are plenty options. The shift knob will come with a leather boot that is not for our series, so you can resell it. 3 parts you will need it the knob. The trim and the leather boot.

2. Shift trim surround: there are carbon fiber ones that would match your interior perfectly, mine was plain black so was only $50.00.
