Hello all,
I have searched and searched with no good resolution to the problem I'm having. Which seems somewhat common. But cannot find a resolution online. My driver's window comes down when opening the door, but doesn't go back up after closing the door. And I have code
"8026 - Current Control Unit Faulty"
and also pick up code
"C122 - Communication Driver's Door Control Unit"
.
Today I replaced the entire latch mechanism with a brand new unit. Didn't fix the problem. The inner and outer door handles & microswitches appear to be in perfect working order. The window does go down when using either handle and it stays down. Just doesn't go back up. As if it thinks the door is still open. Also, the auto up window function is disabled. I've tried the window position relearn multiple times. It has not worked.
Does anyone here have any idea what I need to replace to rid myself of this incredibly annoying problem? It is driving me insane.
If one was to believe the readout on your diagnostics tool - it's telling you the door module is kaput. The module has a current sensing circuit in it that determines when the window motor is stalled, and it cuts the voltage/current to the motor (anti-pinch thing, and used for the auto-up so it knows where the top is..) Since you're experiencing a failure to return to the top position and the inability for it to learn the top position so the one-touch-up feature can be used, that sort of
points
in that direction.
The tool you're using - appears to be a POR 1.0? I'm not familiar with the particular tool, but other tools with
Porsche
specific diagnostics allow you to do things like check the status of a switch or activate a window motor. If it does that - I'd look to make sure the door-module knows the door is closed when it is, and that the control module can raise the window all the way by being triggered via the software.

DID YOU FIND A SOLITUTION TO YOUR DRIVERS DOOR MODULE? I am having the exact same problem on my 911 and I have the same scan too.
Thanks!
The chap you're asking that of was last seen here in 2021.. chances are he won't see your request. Is there a reason you're YELLING? We don't do that here.
Here is what I'd suggest doing:
Go to
https://www.planet-9.com/forums/new_members/
- and introduce yourself and your car. When people know you a bit they're more likely to take the time to reply to queries like yours.
Read
https://www.planet-9.com/threads/before-posting-a-technical-question-read-this.253613/
Then go to the 911 section:
https://www.planet-9.com/forums/911-diy-tech-items-tech-questions.430/
and make a post outlining your problem (no yelling). I suspect you're going to be more likely to get answers than if you tacked on your question to the end of a thread for a different model Porsche (although from the doors forward some models of the 911 and Boxster are actually identical twins..)
And please - NO YELLING! We simply don't do that here.
SORRY JEES! Caps lock was on and I was too lazy to fix it.
No biggie, but you know you can just edit your post? I'm frequently fixing my own typos and other screw-ups.
Also note that there is also a module connected to the window motor...
Any update on this? I'm having the same issue.
