Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

My new (to me) 08 Cayman . Cobalt Blue and Stone Grey interior with 3 pedals. It took almost a month to finalize, and I had to travel out of state to get it. But I finally have it in my possession. This is my first Porsche . Thanks for answering all my questions in previous threads. Im sure I'll have many more. It's dirty at the moment...

Very nice car! You will not regret the driving experience and feel of this car. I’m all smiles every time I’m behind the wheel.

Welcome to Porsche ownership. I can’t really think of a better 1st Porsche (modern) to begin with, and often it’s only just the beginning……. 987s are good cars mechanically, but look through the forums often to find out their idiosyncrasies and what to watch out for.

POST 4Original post

Congratulations on your beautiful "new" car. I think hunting down the right Porsche adds to how much the owner values it. After a year of searching, I found my 981 GTS in Dallas. The drive up through Yellowstone and Spokane to get to Seattle where I shipped it home to Hawai'i was a total joy giving me lifelong memories and the desire to keep the car forever.

POST 5Original post

Welcome and enjoy! Dirty means it's DRIVEN My wife and I had planned an outing, then unexpected rain. She told me "It's raining, are we taking the car?". I reminded her "It's water proof" LOL Eyes up, look ahead

POST 6Original post

Enjoy your new masterpiece! I was a new (and first time!) Porsche Cayman S owner summer 2025 as well. It's been heaven, even with it's peculiar personalities you have to contend with that another member mentioned.

Pelican Parts and FCPEuro are your bestest friends!

Remember the first time you drove a go kart? I get that feeling every time I start mine up. 😎

Love the look with the new rims.. now if you really want a Porsche look: Classic Fuchs look.. I so want these rims for my Boxster.. wonder what a wheel shop would get to do that to a stock set? These were from Porsche - on the orange 2008 Boxster special edition. UPDATE - I sent a copy of this photo to a leading wheel shop near me (known for doing tricky stuff like two color rims - which these are) - $1500 for 4. $375 each. And I'd have to buy the rims obviously.. (good sets seem to go for around $200-250/rim). So a total of $2,500. Have to think on this.
