Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I went ahead with the gundo hack. Removed the mufflers and brought them to small muffler shop with a picture of what I wanted. I installed them this morning and love the sound so far. Wanted to change my oil but the previous owner must have over torqued the drain plug because it would not budge and I stripped it &#*&##. I will have to go to my indie garage https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...1&d=1447004244

POST 3Original post

This is on the list of things I want to do as well! A couple of questions, if you don't mind: 1. How much did the shop charge you? I feel like if I mention its for a Porsche they put a tax on it 2. Is it much louder during idle/cruise/normal driving? Would love to hear a sound clip!

POST 5Original post

Read the list of FAQ's/Issues/Fixes...there is a thread on stripped drain plugs. Very common. Get a new one before you destroy the old one getting it out! LN Magentic drain plug...better quality and very useful.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have not driven it yet as I removed the front bumper for a paint job. Car backed up and just scratched it a bit. I just wanted the bumper pristine. It will be a few days until I get it back.I will try to get a video sound track.

You hear it when you open throttle, otherwise sounds stock. When engine is cold, it does give off a nice rumble in first.

$200 for that weld job? Wow. Looks like it was done by a visually impaired welding student.

POST 9Original post

Yeah that's a pretty rough weld... he even took a grinder to it afterwards. BTW mine cost $70 for a local guy to do it.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes I agree not a nice job but it works.

POST 11Original post

I just dealt with a stripped drain plug. A triple square removed it after numerous other attempts, and I went with a stainless plug from Parts Heaven.

POST 12Original post

That looks more like a fister mod vs. gundo hack. But what do I know?
