I have a problem with the one touch system on the sun roof not working very well - I have worked out a complex way of pressing the button in a certain order (long and short jabs - don't ask) to get it to work at all, and yes I have tried the reset switch procedure, so something is definitely amiss.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a problem with the one touch system on the sun roof not working very well - I have worked out a complex way of pressing the button in a certain order (long and short jabs - don't ask) to get it to work at all, and yes I have tried the reset switch procedure, so something is definitely amiss. Is there any way to tell I wonder whether it is just the switch (£30), as opposed to the whole motor (£250 and the rest.... ) ? As I say the roof will open and tilt, and close (thank goodness), and some elements of the one-touch are working intermittently. Any thoughts appreciated.
