This is not a probability of success.

I need to check the brake fluid date and the spark plugs, changed in 2022 but with a small mileage

I've run a couple of sets of N spec Pirellis but my latest set i opted for Michelin PS5 (they'd recently been released in our size at the time).

The 911 is the only car recognisable from conception to the latest model with that essential DNA running through.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After much deliberation we have taken the plunge with a ‘99 996 C4. We had a 944 S2 20 years ago and loved it so we are back with Stuttgart's finest!
It is midnight blue and is pretty standard spec, no computer or memory seats 102k miles and has pages and pages of service so hopefully there will be no silly surprises.
There was a £4.5k service in 2022, brake discs and pads, clutch, crank oil seal, suspension arms, engine mounts and more. There was also an
exhaust and very recently a water pump and oil change. I need to check the brake fluid date and the spark plugs, changed in 2022 but with a small mileage
since. The only things so far is the CDR-22 Radio has a problem with the LCD display with missing segments and the handbrake needs adjusting. It only
just holds on our steep drive and the front pair of Conti Supersport 2s are quite low but not illegal but are from 2016, so they need refreshing.
Which tyres are folks putting on their cars? It has fairly new P-Zeros on the back. The fronts are 225/40s although online the reg picks up 235/40s.
I am one mile from the ULEZ boundary so will be going the CoC route ASAP.
For the radio I would love to keep it stock but unless I can find a healthy CDR-22 front panel I will look towards one of those retro look Blaupunkt units.
I don't have the funds for the re-location of the Air-Con and large screed Sat Nav at the moment although that would be nice.
Tomorrow we will give it a run out, it has already done 60 miles on the M25 on Friday and was great fun although I kept it very sensible. The Delaer
Martin Brewer at Runnymede Motors was excellent, lovely chap and actually has a long history racing classic cars at Le Mans, Spa, Laguna Seca etc.
Aston Martins are his thing but my car came in on a part-ex to him. It presents very well. I am really looking forward to run down to the Goodwood
Revival in a few weeks.
Can anyone suggest a good outdoor car cover that won't break the Bank and also a good local Porsche Specialist. I am in North Surrey near to Epsom, Sutton and Purley.
Many thanks!
Phil.
Welcome. Sounds a nice car, pictures please !!!
I put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on my 996.2 C4. They are really nice, but i know that many have different preferences.
E-Porsche have always been good. Roly and his team are in Bisley in Surrey.
It was going to be an electric Mini Cooper Hatch or a JCW Cooper S but we thought we would have a lot more fun with this. The 911 is the only car recognisable from conception to the latest model with that essential DNA running through.
Congratulations!
I've run a couple of sets of N spec Pirellis but my latest set i opted for Michelin PS5 (they'd recently been released in our size at the time). 9/10 as good for steering but much more comfortable ride and less noisy, glad I changed.
Thank you Ozone. As I have P-Zeros I should go for those on the front but they come up poorly for economy. I will either go PS5s or Conti Sport Contact 7s. The Sport Contacts on at 9 years old feel a bit hard and not grippy…
Hi All,
I now have my updated V5 but the Tfl website still has me as not compliant. Did any of you have it take a little while for Tfl to catch up?
If not I will have to go the CoC route.
On the V5 there is no Euro number, Co2 or NoX figure, is this the same for you?
Many thanks,
Phil
