I have my Pccm+ corrected installed with all the extras for the dab radio, it is a 996.2 but with non most Bose sound system and old areal antenna.

I just disconnect the phone and reconnect and seems to fix the issue.

Did you replace the FM diversity antenna in the a pillar with the new one included with the PCCM+

Also, from memory had to run a wire from the back of the head unit down to a box behind the centre console, by the footrest in the drivers footwell.

Cable it doesn’t matter either Apple Original, using the dongle…….

Hello all,
Hopefully someone come across and might have this issue before and how to fix it. I have my Pccm+ corrected installed with all the extras for the dab radio, it is a 996.2 but with non most Bose sound system and old areal antenna.
The issue I have is, when I connect the phone or the current dongle for wireless apple/ android car play, the dab radio doesn’t work. If I unplug it, there is few available stations under the list. I have the usb box into the glove box and I added extra noise suppression for the usb ports and even the dongle cable. But this didn’t fix the issue. Only sometimes I could get some frequencies if the signal is really good for DAB.
Does anyone had this issue?
I have PCCM+ in my 996 C4S and DAB isn’t great. It really depends where you are in the country. Some areas it’s better, some areas virtually non existent. Sorry not much help!
The only issue I have found is that sometimes DAB is really bad when the phone is connected prior to the unit starting up fully. I just disconnect the phone and reconnect and seems to fix the issue.
At home and around this area (Bourne Lincs) the signal seems good. If I travel further away then can get poor - example I went to Durham the other week and up there it was terrible. But I assume I probably just need to retune to that area - just didn't try that...
Not had the same issue you describe.
If I disconnect the dongle, I’ve got dab radios, I connected again and no dab. It is a bit weak system unless somehow there is some interference going around
Sounds like you have a problem with your aerial?
Are you using a proper Apple cable?
Not got any 12v chargers or dash cams in the car? They can both crucify dab signals.
The aerial is the old one in my car and I think next generations they improve it. That’s what I was told by Porsche specialist. Cable it doesn’t matter either Apple Original, using the dongle……. Just only without a phone connected seems to work better than with the phone.

I would suggest you take it back to whomever installed it and get them to check it. Would your describing is not correct, DAB should work regardless, signal will vary from area to area.
