Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I hadn't fitted the rear plenum tube correctly, with one of the seals crimped.

To replace the leaking fuel rail, I did have to unbolt a lot of wires, hoses, remove intake plenums etc.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Recently replaced a leaking fuel rail on a 1998 3.4L C2.
The car now runs very rough and if left at idle, slowly dies out. The engine does however rev up.
To replace the leaking fuel rail, I did have to unbolt a lot of wires, hoses, remove intake plenums etc.
Is this rough idle down to poor/wrong injectors as this is the only part which was changed. Or could this be something more simple I may have forgotten to reinstall/installed incorrectly?
I understand its probably best I get an OBD Scanner to diagnose.
I appreciate any help provided!
So I have now picked up an ICARSOFT Scanner. What information should I be looking at which would indicate my issue?
I can see "Misfire - 1" and throws a "Faulty/sporadic voltage" fault code.
When RPM falls below 900rpm, it really starts to choke out.
Any particular vacuum lines I should be checking?
What's the P code on the iCarsoft P0301? An air leak would be multiple cylinders so P0300 (multiple misfires) along with P0301 ,2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (cylinder specific misfire). Some of the small vac hoses can become very brittle with age.
Is the electrical connector seated properly on injector 1, or is the O-ring on the injector into engine damaged?
Cloud even be an unassociated coil pack issue.
Fixed now!
I hadn't fitted the rear plenum tube correctly, with one of the seals crimped. Clearly allowing a lot of air through.
They can be a pain to deal with those things.
Thankfully, it wasn't down to bad injectors!
Thanks for the help.
