repair cost was 25k just to cover all four brakes, and from what I understand he went with the regular brakes.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This is still not final, but I'm liking it for now !!!
As some of you already know, the
Porsche
Car Configurator on the UK site is up and running with the
Cayman S
. I thought it might be fun to spec out my car there then post the image of what I spec'd out in this thread. Feel free to do the same with your car.
The UK site is located at:
http://www22.porsche.com/uk/
Sure, here's how:
Step 1) Visit the UK
Porsche
configurator site
Step 2) Configure your car the way you are going to order it
Step 3) Do a screen capture (Shift-PrtScreen)
Step 4) Open your favorite image editing software, could even be MS Paint
Step 5) Paste your screen capture in
Step 6) Edit/Trim your screen capture to show just the car, save the file
Step 7) Come back here and post a message, click on the button to insert an image then browse your hard drive and upload the image you saved.
Hope that helps!

I love that cocoa leather. I drove a spyder edition Boxter S and truly thought it was one of the best looking interior colors I have seen. Your combination should really look good!
Tony:
Hope I like it. Car magazine had a picture of one of the test cars in that combination. I saw the magazine the night before I was going to order GT Silver/ Terracota. The cocoa looked great in the magazine, but my dealer did not even have a leather sample to look at. I dropped the added cost of the GT Silver in favor if the Cocoa full leather and saved a good bit because the full leather also drops the cost of the adaptive seats. We'll see come January 14.

Nico:
You popped for the ceramics. I couldn't give up some other options to fit the breaks into the budget. Also, I was concerned about repair costs with the ceramcs. Heard a horrible story about a Carrrera owner that warped his discs and
Porsche
would not cover replacements under warranty. Cost way to much to repair. I have heard this second generation ceramic is much more durable though. Also, the ceramic disc are a good bit larger than the steel brakes with the better calipers up front. Your Cay should be the
Porsche
stopping champ.

My brother has
PCCB
on his GT3 as well and they are the most reliable and best brakes so far...had the car for about a year now with about 7k miles, and about 2k of those miles are track
As for the story on that
Carrera
...he didn't warm them up before he started pushing his car and therefore ruined the brakes... repair cost was 25k just to cover all four brakes, and from what I understand he went with the regular brakes.
I'm sure I'll be safe though /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gif

I dont know why it is Dave, but mine is the same. I guess the site just isnt built for Mac use ! I built and saved a configuration on my PC, and can now open that saved config on the Mac OK, but as soon as I try to edit it, it crashes out again.

Ifyou like really nice bomber leather jackets with a little darker leather, you will love this combo. I don't think you can go wrong with that combination. I hope you enjoy it.

Unfortunately the Mac and
Porsche
's website are not comptabible. Several other features of the website will not operate on my G5 iMac. I also went with
Carrera
White and Black interior w/ a few bits in exterior color to liven it up.
Hi Everebody ! Love this site ! Love

sorry for the double post...and my crappy Paint Shop attempt! I couldnt help but lower it a little and give it a
996 Turbo
style intake.....I'm really not keen on the
Caymans
standard 'gills'

My color is GT Silver and cocoa leather interior.
This same color combo and Carrera wheels will either be on my new Boxter S or Cayman S. It all depends on whether I decide to get another conv. or fixed roof.
