Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm running 15mm on the front and rear, mine have studs, you bolt the spacer to the hub and then the wheel to the spacer.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I currently have a 996 4S coupe with Techno wheels from factory. I am thinking about widening the stance by another 7 or 8mm at the front and rears. The rears currently have the standard 17mm spacers and I don’t fancy adding an extra spacer so am looking to swap it out to a 25mm spacer. Do I need to order different wheel nuts? And am I better buying a 25mm spacer with long wheel nuts or one of the spacers that bolts to the hub and then has different threads to bolt the wheels to? And if so what size bolts would I need?

POST 2Original post

Whatever you do, get hub centric spacers. My 4s has the stock turbo twists. I'm running 15mm on the front and rear, mine have studs, you bolt the spacer to the hub and then the wheel to the spacer. The only issue is I've got no locking wheel nuts. If anyone wants some deep rear spacers (32mm?) to move narrow body wheels out to fit a wide body, I've got a set. They were for some 10" Sport Classic 2 wheels I had before I went back to turbo twists.
