Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Misfire is typically plugs, coils, injectors.... In that order. So start by pulling the plug on Cyl 1 and see the condition. replace all if it is worn. (you can find lots of online guides to identify plug wear. If that doesn't fix it, then replace the coils. (or do at the same time as the plugs, as if the plugs are worn out, the coils are probably old) If you still have a missfire, it could be a stuck injector. If you still have a missfire... (not so likely) then you would start looking at sensors and potentially mechanical problems, but it is typically plugs or coils. Does that help?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's stable when it's cold, but starts when the temperature rises

POST 4Original post

I would start with the plug and coil pack. U can swap the #1 and 2 cylinder coil packs and see if the misfire moves to #2.

POST 5Original post

If you do not have a history of the coil packs being replaced, buy six plugs and six coil packs and just change them out. Don't even attempt to troubleshoot before you do that.

POST 6Original post

Like what was already said, swap stuff around to see if you can recreate the misfire on other cylinders. Seems minor.

Had the same thing but replacing my plugs and coils didn't fix it. Now after a torrential down pour it's much worse. Did you fix your issue?
