Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, does anybody have a step by step guide on how to locate and change the temperature sensor located on the evaporator housing? Sensor is part number 1H0907543A. Thanks, John.

POST 2Original post

I think this is the one, but bear in mind the instructions are for LHD.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks very much Richard. I really appreciate it. I'll attempt on the weekend! Cheers, John.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Richard, tried following this guide but could not see sensor as described. Does it make a difference that its a 2004 model? Also, motor looks different to diagram. Your help is appreciated. Thanks, John.

POST 6Original post

As far as I know, the instructions apply to all model years. I know it sounds obvious, but are you looking on the passenger side?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes I removed the glove box, the air duct and a steel sub frame which the glove box rests on. This gave a bit of breathing space. I struggled to follow the diagram, but thinking back I now visualise the drive motor on the far right side of the evaporator housing box. Going to give it another try... Third time luck I hope. I'll report back on the weekend again. Thanks.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do you have a picture of the drive motor and a part number so I know what I'm looking for?

POST 9Original post

Only from the parts list, I'm afraid (LHD shown). Numbers on casings don't always match the sales part number, by the way.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
