Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I havent used on the Pcar, but used the cerakote on my 20-year old Cherokee that lives outside.
Leading evidence: 'Use cerakote' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use cerakote' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. My detailer was mum about exactly what's being used here, but I know he's a big Gtechniq purchaser so I've got a good guess:

Did all the door handles, bumper caps, door trim strips, and roof racks using just 2 of the 10 wipes in the kit.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know theres a ton of products out there for black exterior trim pieces. But what do you guys use for things like this windshield trim, which on my car is grey. After 20 years, really want to make sure it doesnt start to crack.
I swapped mine out for a new one, super easy and makes a huge difference.
It's actually pretty cheap for what it is

I just changed that piece out for new one too.
To answer the question, Ive had great results with Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer.
Its not the easiest product to use and requires some prep work.
But it really brings back faded black trim and it lasts much longer than the simple spray on stuff .
I used a Cerakote hit:
CERAKOTE Ceramic Trim Coat Kit - Quick Plastic Trim Restorer - Guaranteed Restoration to Last Over 200 Washes A Ceramic Coating, Not a Dressing
https://a.co/d/b1IGjQ2
They are prepackaged wipes. Like Phils recommendation, it requires prep and absolutely no moisture on the trim on application.
Any of the sprays are only good for a few days or the next wash, whereas the cerakote or technique mentioned above are ~ permanent. I havent used on the Pcar, but used the cerakote on my 20-year old Cherokee that lives outside. Did all the door handles, bumper caps, door trim strips, and roof racks using just 2 of the 10 wipes in the kit. The results were pretty amazing. All these faded plastics pretty much ended up looking like new, and still do a couple years later.
If the pigment is entirely gone and the piece has turned white, I dont think Cerakote will fix it. It is not tinted; its essentially a clear coat AFAIK. In this case another option is using kiwi leather shoe dye, the stuff that comes in a small bottle with a foam applicator tip. This by itself will go a few months. Id used it previously on some areas on my Jeep, which may partially account for my good results. I was concerned the cerakote may dissolve the shoe dye resulting in a big mess, but it did not and just laid on over it.
My detailer was mum about exactly what's being used here, but I know he's a big Gtechniq purchaser so I've got a good guess:
If the pigment is entirely gone but the plastic hasn't cracked yet, I honestly prefer SEM Trim Black. It's a thin paint that penetrates baked plastics very well. Once it's fully dried you can do all of the usual protection things (ceramic coat, hydrophobic coat, or even Rocklear).
