Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hi guys I’m trying to disconnect the battery (996.2 C2) once I’ve unlocked the car, but as soon as I do, it sets the alarm off and I can’t seem to stop it until I reconnect the battery? Is there a secondary power supply to the alarm? How do I stop this happening? Cheers

POST 2Original post

You need to have the ignition switched on when you disconnect your battery. (Weirdly, I’ve just disconnected mine about an hour ago!) Give it a try….
