Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there an override for the rear spoiler on a 2000 996 Cab so it will stay up all the time? Thanks

POST 2Original post

There is a rocker switch down in the driver's side footwell on the left sidewall. It's actually on the bottom of the fuse panel. With the ignition on, if you momentarilly press the upper part of the switch, the spoiler will rise. If you press and hold the lower part of the switch, it'll lower. However, I do not believe it's permanent. I think it'll recycle itself once you run the car and then shut it down again.
