Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

'11 Speedster that doesn't have the front lip spoiler. Looking on the internet for the spoiler and see that Suncoast has it for $715 and FCP has one for $195, that looks like it would fit. Come to find out, that lip only fits the 996 4s. My question is that looking at the picture it looks exactly what I need except it would need to be painted. Can a body shop modify the spoiler to fit and still look correct? https://www.*******.com/products/porsche-spoiler-genuine-porsche-9965055550201c https://www.*************.com/product/50598306G2L.html

POST 2Original post

I would think not, the mounting point between the 997.1 and 997.2 and shape are different, so I’d say it’s a long shot for a 996 part. The spoilers are replaceable parts, no way I’d want one painted.
