Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello,
On Saturday I did a service on my car.
I changed the engine oil and filled about 7.2 liters.
Now my digital oil level is showing minimum,
but I’m sure there are no leaks and no low oil warning light came on.
I’m not even sure if I have a physical dipstick (haven’t checked yet).
My question is: which part is responsible for measuring the oil level?
I checked on Design911 and I see two different parts listed.
@eyala
, you should add info to your signature so we don't have to sesrch through your previous posts to find specifics about your car(s).
I can't speak for all Porsche models, but no 987, 981, or 718 cars have dipsticks. Also the procedure to check oil level electronically varies by generation.
I have no idea why it is reading low. Are you sure it is parked on level pavement? You could add a little more but don't put more than 2-300ml in to avoid overfilling. To answer your question, the oil level sensor is mounted to the bottom of the oil pan # 948.606.150.00. Google that part # and you will see some pictures and I'm sure you will recognize the bottom of it from when you did the oil change. Of course, to replace you'll need to drain the oil pan first.
BTW, don't focus on getting the level all the way up to MAX. I'm happy when it is mid-way between min and max.
I gave you the
Porsche
part number. If they don't have it or can't get it, they aren't worth the dealing with. Any reputable
Porsche
parts supplier should be able to get it.
Hi, I tried checking according to the part number you gave me, it does give me the part, but in my opinion it's not for the right model. I searched for the right model and it gives me a different type of part. I don't know what's right to order.
Contact them The bottom photo is correct Their part database is incomplete. I got 948.606.150.00 from the
Porsche
PET catalog for

.
Google the part number. According to Pelicican Parts the same sensor is used in many Porsches. Including this partial list:

Since you will need to drain the oil to replace the sensor, use a new crush washer on the oil drain
plug
.
Finally, if it was me, I would try adding a little oil to see if the oil level looked better. Then just accept that your sensor might be a little off. Just check it occasionally to see if you are loosing any due to leak or burning.
