Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 986Forum: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had anyone desnorkled and had water intrusion, or is this paranoia? Sent from my SM-G991U1 using Tapatalk

POST 2Original post

I would say paranoia, but I'm sure there will be someone who has a story to disagree. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

Doubt it'd be an issue unless you're driving through flash floodiing.

POST 4Original post

No issue having done rain soaked track days. I don't believe the snorkel is there to prevent water ingress. To me it appears to serve as an airflow facilitator this includes the cup. Way back I put the stock one (a custom one was on there) back on to improve throttle response with a larger throttle body.

POST 5Original post

total non issue. I run a 987 airbox with a wide open vent and no water gets in there. Not to mention there are drains in the airbox

POST 6Original post

Quotes source post: 641766

A couple of years ago I had a rough engine and brief CEL after inadvertently spraying the hose directly into my recently desnorkled vent. I am now very careful when I wash the car and it hasn't happened since.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thankd so would you say it is worth doing? Sent from my SM-G991U1 using Tapatalk

POST 8Original post

Absolutely. The improvement on intake sound alone is with it. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
