Before and after of my 2003 c2 installed hr coilovers lowered about an inch.
Leading evidence: 'Install hr coilovers lowered about an inch' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check topmounts' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. My car had over 100k miles on it so I replaced the sway bars, drop links, control arms.

Suggestion
but for the crashing over potholes/bumps, I'd say make sure you check your topmounts.

What else other than replacing the bushings would you recommend for the arms?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Man, that looks sweet! Subtle drop that begs for a second look. "Is it stock or do they come from the factory like that?" Is the question people will ask.
Just St what I am looking for. Curious how it rides. What shocks are you running?
In most scenarios with coilovers the spring and shock are the same brand as they are a kit with a shock and spring. H&R coilovers is what a GT3 comes with from the factory.
I just realized I misread the post. I thought springs were installed, not coilovers. No wonder the car
looks perfect. I didn't realize H&R is OEM for the GT3.
I have these h&r street performance coilovers , as well as h&r sway bars and all the bushes updated to power flex polybushes .
It's transformed the handling .
The sp co use a bilstein base , as does the gt3 and the pss9 .
All 3 are similar and cores made by bilstein but are not exactly the same . The gt3 and h&r are not identical .
H&R does make the springs for several other competitors but I believe bilstein makes their own.
The h&r rss Coilovers use a koni base .
Anyway great bang for the buck , I love mine .i think you'll like these .
The sp co doesn't get a lot of airtime on rennlist but they are great German made value for money . And a whole new level above a sport spring 0r mo30 set up.
Paired with the H&R swaybars they take the car to a whole new level , you have to spend almost double to better them
They make for a track day capable daily driver , I use my car regularly and for long trips .
But if increased performance isn't your priority
Go with the row m030 set up for comfort and slightly better performance and a one inch drop over the standard set up

That statement seems a bit confusing, as x74 is lower and more aggressive than m030, from what I understand. I currently have m030 and the ride height and performance is slightly underwhelming.
X74 and ROW mo30 are more or less the same , the x74 has slightly stiffer springs .
If it's just a drop you want you might just fit the h&r spring kit , or the eibach one .
Do you have the US or ROW mo30 ?
none of these will handle as well as even a basic well set up coilover
I find the SPs a great balance of comfort and performance , they are stiffer but don't rattle your teeth out . I found the rss ones too stiff for daily use which is why I went with the sps .

^^^To clarify, I was thinking of h&r coilovers at x74 specs, versus standard m030. Not exactly an apples to apples comparison I realize.
Agreed on the benefit of coilovers, my inital post was a bit vague.
I have US mo30, so I would like it to be a touch lower, but more importantly, better performing. It's a bit floaty around higher speed sweepers, and crashes over pot holes around town.
Have a look at the h&r and eibach sport springs , these will bring your us mo30 lower and firmer for cheap Money .
The eibach pro plus kit for springs and sway bars is a bargain at $700

I can't comment on the "floaty around high speed sweepers"... but for the crashing over potholes/bumps, I'd say make sure you check your topmounts. The rubber in the stock mounts tend to crack which will give you that clunky rattly sound over bumps.
Ride is fantastic. I'm very happy with my H&R Street Performance coilovers. 2002 C2 911. Best option to replace the original suspension for the money. My car had over 100k miles on it so I replaced the sway bars, drop links, control arms. Ride was transformed but of course I did more than just the coilovers.
Since I have had the car two weeks, and I am comparing handling to my prior 2015 TDI Passat, I am having trouble finding the flaws in the stock suspension yet (aside from 4x4 height). I think the first thing to do is take it to a HPDE to get some impressions of what I want to "improve".
Based on on above and my personal criteria for value, I have some idea where I want to head. Thanks all.
Dan
Also check your control/caster arms they were causing a metallic clunk over bumps for me. It's difficult to diagnose them as there aren't any really obvious signs of wear.
