The new tyres are Bridgestones, SO2's I think, got a new set of rims (fronts are for a normal C2 so need 4mm spacers) for £1500 on good old eBay, will use these on the road and will get some Corsa's for the track to put on my original rims.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well OPC had the 3 in for a service on friday and phoned to tell me my rears were toast, down to the canvass Sir! Lucky I got a new set of Bridgestones on new rims sitting in the garage, tiptoed home and stuck the new rears on. Annoying thing is the tyres have 3mm all over except the inner edge, that'll be the trackday set-up then Sir! /images/migration/UploadedForumImages/reartyre.jpg Migration info. POST 2Original post

Hey Poon, are those PS2s you're running? If so, what pressure do you run them at on road and on track? I only ask because I'm back on road tyres for the first time in months, and I'm also trying these PS2s for the first time ever. So far they seem ok, but they squeal very early on and don't offer anywhere near the same grip as track tyres. What pressures do you find work best on road and on track? Migration info. POST 3Original post

That's a lot of -ve camber! May be you're just not cornering hard enough for the set up!  Are you coming to Bedford? or are you busy making movies with Sundeep? Migration info. Legacy thread was 78004

Front PS2's have 4-5mm of tread on! Shame that! Ade, have you done some Manthey stuff to your 3? Migration info. Legacy thread was 78006

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

mick, according to JZ thats not an aggressive set up Can't come to Bedford am golfing in Portugal To be honest I have not done enough trackdays and too many road miles for the set-up, you have seen me coming off too many times to know I have been cornering hard enough  Migration info. POST 6Original post

Thanks Poon. I'm going to try experimenting a little with the pressures on these PS2s... I ran them at 32 hot for a short while at the Ring but was not happy with the amount of movement I was getting and decided to pump them up to around 34/38... maybe I'm just used to the stiffer sidewalls of Corsas/Toyo R888s? And yep, I had the car Manthey'd! See here . Migration info. Legacy thread was 78012
