Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I spoke with them before I bought mine and I would have been seriously interested in it but had a car to part ex. From what the guys told me it had money spent on it to get it up to scratch for them to sell it. All in all I think you’re getting a nice looking car that looks like it’s been looked after. It’ll be interesting to hear your thoughts on ownership once you get it. So far I’m loving mine although it is a little thirsty but something you get used to.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, it looked well maintained from everything they sent me over. I'll be travelling down on the 11th of January to view the car and take it home. William Crawford is close to a 4.5 hour drive from London. What sort of mpg do you get? I had an e90 M3 for 4 years as my daily driver. As long as its not worse than a Naturally Aspirated v8 then it'll be fine.

Mine on a recent trip was doing about 20mpg Good luck with the purchase I’m sure you’ll love it

POST 5Original post

So when is the Car and Classic advert from ? It was £7k more in that advert. I bought my Turbo (HF54 AFU) from WC unseen just lots of videos and photos. It's a long way from Scotland. They have some nice cars there. HF must be the Bournemouth reg code as mine was originally from there. Looks really good in silver, I always wanted a white one but they're so incredibly rare in the UK , not so in the US though. 20-25mpg is normal for mine on a run

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was originally registered in Bournemouth. Based on this Instagram post, I would say May 2022 although the Change in ownership happened in August 2022: 20-25mpg is what I'm used to so should be no different in terms of fuel costs. I'm excited to go see the car.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I picked up the car yesterday. The overall condition was great and the service from William Crawford was excellent. They have a great stock of cars. It was a 4.5 hour drive so had a good chance to bond with the car. I'm really happy with my purchase. Around £4k was spent in the preparation of the car with the main cost fixing the rear spoiler not working properly upon their testing when they were asked to sell on behalf of the previous owner. POST 8Original post

It looks fabulous no wonder you’re happy with it. I keep an eye on their website on a regular basis and they have some really tidy cars

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got taken round the project area where they undertake restorations on behalf of clients. I was suprised that people ship their 964s in from America and countries in Africa to have it restored by them in the UK. A large portion of the cars had been sold or reserved.

Interesting that they get cars shipped in from overseas for restoration

POST 11Original post

Did you have the boost gauge selected on the dash? It'd be interesting to know what you're getting in say 4th pulling hard uphill. Looks fantastic btw.

POST 12Original post

I bought a ‘clean’ 964 from WC that turned out to have rusty holes in it. Caveat emptor I suppose!!

POST 13Original post

Can you elaborate? Where was the rust ? Could they have known about it?
