Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
It also has esters which clean areas such as the piston ring lands, which conventional detergent additives, such as the calcium and magnesium found in Mobil cannot remove.
Leading evidence: 'Clean areas such as the piston ring lands' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean areas such as the piston ring lands' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I had mine rebuilt 20k kilometers ago and have been running Mobil 5W-50 or 0W-40.

I'll be using Hartechs recommendation from now on though.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had mine rebuilt 20k kilometers ago and have been running Mobil 5W-50 or 0W-40. The thicker grade definitely retains oil pressure better on hot days.
Yes. As well as the engine being considerably worn over 100k, you're also most likely to get quite a bit of fuel dilution in the oil making it thinner. By going to a thicker grade it will compensate for the fuel dilution. This was the advice I received from one of the scientists at Millers when I get my oil checked.
I'm going to give the Millers a go next time. I've used up my batch of Mobil 1 5w50 now.
The Mobil is good enough but shears down a lot after a few k and It's built to a price.
The Miller option is recommended, in fact mandated, by the UKs premier M9x engine rebuilder.
It's pricey, but of the highest quality. It also has esters which clean areas such as the piston ring lands, which conventional detergent additives, such as the calcium and magnesium found in Mobil cannot remove.
All oils are not the same although they pretty much all go in gold and come out black!
Last time I used the one I posted above. In the future I'll be using this:
Motorsport CFS 10w50 NT+ Engine Oil
A competition fully synthetic NANODRIVE triple ester engine oil, part of the NT+ range of engine oils incorporating low friction technology to achieve winning results for the professional race team.
