Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Couldn't find my keys. Where did I leave them? Sound familiar? Well I finally found them in the ignition after 2 days. Battery dead, of course. I got to try outthe emergency entry procedures outlined in the manual. Rather simple actually. Just a painto do and feeling pretty stupid for my initial oversight. I disconnected my battery and am charging it as I write this. Hopefully by morning I'll be up and running again. I read through amro's previous post in Dec. 05 about his episode with this and felt better that there was information on the topic besides what was in the manual. Gotta love this forum. Anyway, here's hoping I have no glitches. Swampcroc

POST 2Original post

Swamp, Did leaving the keys in the ignition kill the battery? Russ

POST 3Original post

Russ, Yes, when you leave them in the ON position. Idid something inside the car, got distracted, and left the keys in. What is really embarrassing is that just a few days ago my wife misplaced her keyand I reminded her how much it would cost to replace one. She found it but now it is payback time. Swamp

POST 4Original post

Paypack time is usually valued at a factor of 10X around my house/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/cry_smile.gif.

POST 5Original post

Swamp, Lesson learned, never make corrective comments to the wife! That can be worse than any dead battery. Aloha Russ
