Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If my car is left for over 3-4 days the button on the key fails to unlock the car but when I use the lock and open the door the alarm activates but quietly like the battery is dead. However it starts first time and is fine. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

Hi Rosey68, The alarm goes in to battery saving mode which makes the key fob not work and you have to open the door and then switch on the ignitio. Once done the remote should work again. If you do this within 10 secs or so the alarm won't go off. As for the alarm sound level, that could just be a failing alarm horn. cheers anthony

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Anthony Set alarm off last week and worked fine just quiet in the mode you described so nothing to worry about which is good news
