Suggestion

I've wondered about the delay as well, particularly whenhit another presetand I have no idea if I'm right but it may because the radio uses, I think, dual tuners to pull in the station as accurately as possible?

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

why when i switch from fm to am radio (or vice versa or fm1 to fm2) do i have to wait three or so seconds before i can push a preset button and change the station? in all my other cars i could change the mode and immediately press a preset button and immediately get that station. and while i'm being picky, why when i take the key out of the ignition does the radio keep working for three or so seconds?

POST 2Original post

Why don't you talk to Porsche about your complaints? There's nothing anybody here can do.

POST 4Original post

I've wondered about the delay as well, particularly whenhit another presetand I have no idea if I'm right but it may because the radio uses, I think, dual tuners to pull in the station as accurately as possible? Perhaps it takes a second for the radio to sort this out? As far as the radio staying on after the key is turned off I can't figure out why anyone would want that to happen either.
