Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The Dension units are not ready yet, there were supposed to be by now but they ran into a snag with their developer.
Leading evidence: 'Run into a snag' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'mexican site is in error' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Run into a snag' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
I can call my contact at Dension USA this week and ask if you'd like, I suspect the Mexican site is in error.

I saw Target is selling iPod interface using blue booth technology.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Used it in a Touraeg and it worked great, but adds clutter.
It appears there is no standard solution (at least a simple one) for an iPod interface, other than a FM transmitter. Does anyone has any good suggestions for my Bose system (without PCM)?

I thought i did search the iPod messages, there were a couple ofcompanies that maybe able to secure a MOST interface but there were no general concensus on the methodology (in particular without PCM). I might have to search little harder.
THANKS
That is because there isn't a solution other than FM modulators at the moment which you probably picked up by reading all the other posts. Suggest you look here to quell your experiments:

The Dension units are not ready yet, there were supposed to be by now but they ran into a snag with their developer. I spoke to them yesterday about this and they told me to give it another month. As far as FM modulators go the Transpod seems quite good.
<sigh> Did not know they had pushed it out again... they have been saying 'eait just one more month' for abput 2 years. Pretty big running joke over on the Cayenne board on ********.
Has anyone tried the Harmon Kardon unit that requires its own display and controller and is connected by wire to the stereo for better fidelity? Used it in a Touraeg and it worked great, but adds clutter.
Has anyone heard an update on the Denison/Dice ipod product? I believe some of you guys have had good results from their other products, but they seem to require a little refresher course in the project management department.... Sheez, if I were building something for Porsche's hottest selling model, I think I would light the fires under my engineering department.

Dension's product is out. The only retailer that I see with the product is the dension mexico website. And it sells for $650. Am I the only one that thinks that price is outrageous? I mean...I can buy 2 ipods with that money.

That sounds a reasonable price, the've had work to develop the product and to integrate into MOST so it's ok plus they are hardly going to sell millions and millions. I see it as a valid alternative to the CD changer and alreadey have an iPOD so not too expensive. I would like it to display track details etc on non-psm though... unless I'm in the front to see the ipod all the time
I would pay $650 installed or if it was easy enough to install by yourself (it isn't gonna' be) so I think its a bit overpriced at $650. Hopefully someone will get one of these installed in the next couple weeks and we can get some owner feedback.
If this was on the US site, I would order one today and have it installed next week. I'm not sure that I trust the Mexican site with a paypal payment option.
This theory applies to any product though. I would guess that this product costs <$100 to make. Selling for > 6x the cost is a very unusually aggressive way of recovering your R&D costs. Typically you'd see 3x the cost.
Just so you guys know, the development platform for MOST costs $15,000 initial investment PLUS $8000 PER YEAR to keep up your license to make MOST compatible items. That is why you don't see much for MOST, it is too expensive for most developers to take a risk that they will recoup their initial investment plus annual fees without charging high prices for their offerings.
Just finished reading a thread on ******** from Eric@Bumperplugs about the Dension being released:

No price info yet, however. Any possibility of a group buy here as well?
