Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have searched for this, but haven't found a definitive answer. I am replacing the double din PCM1 unit with single din and moving the HVAC controls up, along with doing the GT3 console delete. I have the replacement 'frame' to switch from double to single din, but after having taken the 4 screws out, the old frame is very reluctant to come out. Is it a case of just pulling it and it will come? The vents and cup holder are also clearly coming with it, but I cannot see a way to stop that, so I assume that is normal? Secondly, moving the HVAC wiring. It seems quite tight, but is it just a case of maneuvering the wiring up through into the upper section, or is there a trick to it/tips? The car has heated seats, and I was going to move their controls up to the control surround for vents, but I may now mod the console delete and put them back there. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

heated seats, put them in the central console, best space for them wiring space, is always VERY tight, so this is normal, as you might have to take everything out just to better reposition all of it instructions, try the attached from @minchew
