Has anyone installed this yet on the Cayman? I've searched, no hits. I have a dual transponder unit I'm planning to install this weekend and would like to know where anyone has breached the firewall.
Additionally, I'd love to replace the standard toggle with a blank Porsche OEM switch at the switch panel.
Just curious what other switches go on the bottom? I have 3 on the left and one on the right. Spoiler, PASM, Sport, then Traction disengagement. Are there any others?
Anyone elses experiences would be appreciated, otherwise I'll share the info after I get it installed.

Hi KMKman, I'm in the same position with a M20 Blinder to install, I'd appreciate any info you post - I'm going to try and install next week. Has anyone found a thread on this type of install? I'm still searching...

Nick,
Just finished the install. Very nice. For starters, I hardwired a Valentine-1 at the same time using the instructions from RedRocket. It was perfect.

I will have pictures to follow soon, but until I get them on, I'll leave some notes here.
I have two laser transponders and mounted them adjacent to each fog light. I'm not familiar with your setup and think that using a single transponder would be tricky since a single Lidateck is recommended to be mounted centrally.
For starters, remove a few things.
The plastic fascia surrounding the fog lights comes off easily, just pull gently.
I then unscrewed the 3 small screws holding the fog lights in. It's not required but definitely helps to get your fingers and wires back behind the lights. They were easy to remove.
I wasn't sure where to run the wires, so I found it easier to snake the wires up towards the drivers' side long, narrow plastic piece that runs along the front-trunk area, on the outside. This is attached by velcro.
Remove the plastic cover near the winshield washer filler. Easily removes also.
From here there is a line running through the firewall. Mine is marked in blue and it is a rigid metal line. I made a small slit in the plug and ran my lines through, later sealing. It comes out near the steering unit on the interior floor and is easily accessible.
I ran my power to the same fuse that i wired the Valentine, and mounted my control module above and behind the fuse panel.
The power is a contstant-on. Works great.
The lidatek also comes with a small LED warning/power-on light. I mounted this in the same place I did in my Audi. I made a small slit in the leather/fabric between the steering column and control cluster. It's easily visible and unobtrusive and does not interfere with tilt/telescope.
I'll get some pics up.

KMKman, thanks for taking the time to post your progress, it is very helpful to me. The two areas that concern me are getting my two transponders fixed down somewhere in that grill area under the foglamp, and getting the wires through the firewall into the cabin. I think you've solved the firewall problem for me, if you do have time to post any pictures of how you fastened the transponder in that area, I'd be most grateful. I have a Blinder M20, I had a Lidatek 30 in my last Audi S4. I think the Blinder transponder is wider and the Lidatek is deeper. I also hardwired my Valentine 1 in as per RedRocket
