Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi folks, My 01 C2 coupe has a graphite gray interior, which is in good condition other than the seats. There are punctures in the bottom of each seat and and the electronics in the passenger seat dont function quite right. Im considering getting the seat bottoms reupholstered OR just replacing the seats outright. I dont love the standard tombstone seats and would prefer sport seats or GT3 buckets, but both options are expensive and difficult to find in graphite gray. So Im also thinking about recaro pole positions and getting them covered in gray leather (https://www.lseat.com/products/recaro-pole-position-custom-real-leather-seat-covers-front.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p4tQd0U0JUyDmmAwP149tdtIG67UND4 vQKUhgF39Fp9dR9TNi4UT8RoCQV4QAvDhttps://www.lseat.com/products/recaro-pole-position-custom-real-leather-seat-covers-front.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p4tQd0U0JUyDmmAwP149tdtIG67UND4 vQKUhgF39Fp9dR9TNi4UT8RoCQV4QAvD_BwE_BwE) Has anyone put pole positions in a gray 996? Would love to see what they look like either in black or reupholstered in gray leather. Would pole positions be terribly uncomfortable for street use? Any input would be much appreciated!

POST 2Original post

Are these the pole positions u like? I think they r a terible daily driver seat but the kick a$$ on the track. I deal with them for the track season because they r so good but put the factory seats in for the off season.

Thanks for the picture. I think they look good in a 996 but Ive never sat in them or seen them in person. My car is not a track car or a a daily, just a Sunday cruiser. I wouldnt mind feeling the road a little bit more, but I dont want a back breaking ride either

POST 4Original post

Its not really a comfort issue. Its getting in and out. Imagine an enima from the side bolster. i have some decent recaro, reclining seats with heat and air that came with my gt3 donor. I think they r Sportsters? Pm if interested?

Leeroy, got a set of graphite grey 996 seats for sale in the RL marketplace that are in excellent shape if you decide to go in that direction. If not, no worries.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

^ thanks, but if I go OEM I want either sport seats or GT3 buckets
