Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

PCM Retrofit Question
Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

So if you decide to retrofit the PCM Nav - will it increase the value of the car? i realize this may be very subjective but porsche dealers have told me 'aftermarket' upgrades tend to devalue the car...any thoughts anyone?

POST 2Original post

It won't add up either. In fact, I know a few people that shy away from modified used cars. Retrofitting PCM will be an expensive endeavor.

POST 3Original post

Close to $4K just for the unit + wiring, + install... Likely will not see it back, but if you intend to keep the car, at least it can be done.

POST 4Original post

Adding PCM will probably add value to the car and make it easier to sell later on down the line, but a retrofit may be worthwhile only if you intend to keep the car as I don't think you will see much of that money back.
