This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, looking for some advice on fitting 18x11 et40 275/35/18 on my nb 996. Some background: I got a deal on some wheels that I saw were on a 996 GT3. Despite the wb specs, I figured GT3 is nb so why not. Behold it fits, but sits outside the fender. Car is partial track duty so lowered on GT3 coils and potentially GT3 arms for additional camber adjustment. I expect rubbing on the track, so want to see if any suspension gurus had any thoughts on fitment with 2.5+ camber or so. Fender rolling is an option as well. Worse case, I'll have to let go of the wheels (or run my old set at the track and these on street)

POST 2Original post

Sell the wheels, that offset will not work, especially if you want to run them on track. There is no suspension wizardry you're going to pull that will make for a functional setup. And... 275 on an 11in wheel is wack.

POST 3Original post

I just picked up a pair of ET40 wheels that I thought were 60, and they most definitely will sit outside the fender. On stock height car you could maybe get away with it, but best to sell them on.

Yeah, the 275 seemed like a choice to fit them unconventionally. Long shot to see if anyone had any wizardry ideas, but back on the market they go On a side note, big fan of your car (and build documentation), one of the few 996 builds I refer to for building my car

POST 5Original post

I hear you and if you wanted to really push the stance thing, that would be a starting point along with super camber to trying to make it work but those stance cars drive like **** for a reason. Thanks for the kind words ! Always humbling to see people watching the build, really appreciate it.
