When cluster back in place, use tool to 'snap' back in - if greased it just pops in, if not, the it will snap back in hard ..

I've helped someone do a Boxster sidelight. Easy as pie.

.. make sure you have the 'remove headlight tool' in your toolpack first .. - it's a tube with a hex bit on the end with a handle / lever. Remove the 'bung' in the side panal next to the headlight cluster, insert the tool - twist forwards to remove the light - it will be tight and will give you a shock that you have broken something when it goes first time ... Then pull out the whole cluster. Remove the back off the Bosch unit and change the bulb. Suggest greasing up the moving parts before reassembly (the mechanism had gone slightly rusty..) - makes re-assembly less violent. When cluster back in place, use tool to 'snap' back in - if greased it just pops in, if not, the it will snap back in hard .. PS - It's all in the users manual ... Remember not to touch the bulbs with your fingers - use a tissue or clean cloth to handle them ... Cheers, Richard.
