I guess the 996 and 997 injector are different (it might also need replacement), so my question is I I could use the 997.1 with 997 injectors or I need to fit a 996 one, I might be able to reused here the injectors.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

By the photos they look pretty much the same , maybe the material that has been made. The pipe supports are my only concern.

POST 4Original post

I recently replaced mine on my 3.4 C2 and managed to get a really good condition fuel rail for a < 2000 car (mine is a MY2001) which looked identical. Unfortunately it was a few mm different on the injector locator length and wouldn’t fit so I had to buy a new one (expensive!) I suggest the part numbers are different for a reason if my experience is anything to go by. Check that the injector part numbers are the same and if so you might get lucky.
