It worked fine for a couple of years until I had the pipe replaced whilst the engine was out recently.
Leading evidence: 'Replace whilst the engine was out recently' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair '' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Mine failed at the bottom a few years ago so I repaired it and it worked.
Hi all
I traced my AC leak to this hard line pipe in the engine bay, it’s damaged behind the joint, I suspect someone has done it up without supporting it, twisted and split it?
It looks like engine out to change it, has anyone got experience of doing this pipe ?
Many thanks in advance
To replace that pipe (that's if you can get one as Porsche were out of stock last I knew) is no option but to remove the engine. Mine failed at the bottom a few years ago so I repaired it and it worked. If you get a jubilee clip and some metal putty you could easily fix it.
Write-up I did is here on page 2:
Thread 'Aircon pipe leak repair'
23 May 2021
Car was in for a service last week. Aircon leak picked up from the pipe that runs over the driverside of the engine down to the sill - small pin prick in the pipe (see photo). I've read it's an engine drop to get this pipe out and the pipe is also a couple hundred £. Can anyone confirm any of this or if there's another easier method?
I was contemplating vaccing out the system and then getting under the car and welding over the hole. Does anyone know if this is possible or not? Other option is cut the pipe where the hole is and re-join with a Yorkshire fitting, but seeing as it's on the...

Thanks for the super fast reply Alex !
That’s what I suspected, ***** ..
I wondered if there was an AC pipe union coupler joint thing used in industry that would work? I just don’t know enough about that kind of thing.
Thanks I’ll have a look at your thread
Still getting use to Porsche Fische, is this the right part, no. 25?
I don't think so. It's the other line so part 27. 26 is the smaller diameter high pressure side.
Edit: Sorry, I'm looking at the wrong one, it's the one on the left you're pointing at when looking in the bay, so yes part 26.
Yes, I realised that after, just edited my 2nd post. Should still be able to try and fix it though. The pressure is nearly as high on the low pressure side when not in use as it balances out through the system.
I replaced Aircon line 6 a few years ago, corrosion had damaged the joining clamp with line 26 and it was a bitch to separate, the clamp was slightly damaged so on refitting the single bolt wouldn’t hold the join tight enough.
I didn’t want to replace the over engine line so my solution was fabricate another small clamp that compressed the join on the other side as well. It worked fine for a couple of years until I had the pipe replaced whilst the engine was out recently.
