Hello
I am trying to convert my front from
987.1
to
987.2
Mission maybe Possible from
987.1
to
987.2
The BUmper and the Fender are compatible just have to fix the cables for the head;light and
Led
.
here are some tasting photos
Where did you get the
headlights
?
you can buy them Brand new from the store or you can find them second at ebay
i really like the new look. even the
981
do not like it much
So, I'm trying to do something similar...but a .2
Boxster
Spider bumper on my 2006 .1
Cayman S
. To make this work, I have to swap
headlights
? Thank you and I'll be interested to see how this works for you.
Ciao,
Yes you need to swap the
headlights
,
did you have any puctures ?
I have not done this yet. I don't mind swapping
headlights
, but somewhere I read that the front fenders were also different and needed to be swapped as well. I read it on this forum, but it was people talking, not anyone who had done it. Have you actually made it work and finished this project. I'm trying to ensure it will fit with just a headlight switch before I buy a bumper from a
987.2
spider. Thank you, boxs!
Yes,
YOu need to change the Fender , Heallights ,
Led
Bumper , airduct
you can see on my pictures the black fender is the new one .
Boxs:
Thank you for the complete info. That's a whole lot more than I intended if the fenders need swapping. Now I'm thinking I may just get a used
981
bumper cover and have a good body shop cut it horizontally above the air intakes and graft it to my
987.1
bumper. Way easier! I like the large
Carrera
GT-ish intakes. I'm impressed with what you've done. Thanks again!
Just did a
987.1
to
987.2
front end conversion but noticed the headlight wiring was different. Do they need to be rewired or can they just be plugged in? Thanks
Hi and welcome to Planet-9. I see you've posted this basic question to two existing threads on Planet-9. Congrats and discovering those - they haven't been active in 5 and 10 years, and most of the people who participated haven't been on the site in several years, so it's unlikely they'll see your question.
I'd suggest a better way to address your question is for you to start a new thread with your question. Try to make it detailed so people understand exactly what you're doing.
Porsche
offered several different types of
headlights
for the
987.1
/
987.2
so it's important that we know what
headlights
you're asking about.
